Sick and tired of being sick and tired?

Are you sick and tired of carrying your extra weight around? Sick and tired of coming up with excuses as to why you're doing it? Sick and tired of quitting? Sick and tired of saying you'll do it next Monday? Then why not change your attitude? Put satan under your feet where he belongs and start looking up! You can change your life, but only you have the power to do that. I can't do it for you and no one else can. Stop quitting...stop saying you can't, and tell yourself you can and then commit to yourself to do it! It's NOT easy and it's going to be tough, but aren't you a strong enough person to do it? Sure ya' are! You are NO different than I am. I had to fight to get to where I am and I fight to stay there. Is it worth it? You betcha! Carrying around fat is HARD work.....bending to tie your shoes is hard work when you have a big burden in front of you.....so many things are harder when we're heavy. Being active and fit is soooo fabulous and so MUCH easier than being heavy! You'll never know how great it can feel if you don't allow yourself to succeed! Quit holding back and give YOU YOUR all! I know I've said it time and again..but YOU REALLY CAN DO THIS!!! It's not about finding the perfect diet plan or the perfect workout plan. It's about commiting to yourself to do SOMETHING and to STICK WITH IT...it's not about being on a plan then off a plan. It's about continually making better choices and taking better care of ourselves..it's about living active and getting out and enjoying God's wonderful creation! It's about making progress NOT perfection! You will NEVER be perfectly on plan for a long period of time so don't even try to be....MAKE PROGRESS...that's what you can stick with for the long haul.

 Motivation is WAY overrated! Dedication is the key to getting the body you want. Are you ready to dedicate yourself?

Thank you so much for your encouragement. I really needed to hear those words. I made better food choices and walked two miles. You really encouraged me!! I'm going to keep making better choices and push myself out of that comfort zone. Thanks again Carla.

2 miles is fabulous and making better food choices will make SUCH a difference as you well know! Keep being consistent like that and focusing on progress instead of perfection and you'll get right back where you want to be!

Wow you must have been writing about me. I am so ashamed of my 30 lb back slide. So tired of the clothes that don't fit anymore. Tired of getting up and hating not looking like I used to. But not willing to put any effort in. I'm going to make progress and not worry about perfection. Just focus on making better choices. I am going to start making good choices right now. Sara, sometimes we just have to MAKE ourselves do it! Whether we like it or not...then it becomes like second nature...push yourself out of your comfort zone and let's get those 30 lbs back off..no need to be ashamed...just be determined to make them leave. Glad you're refocusing! Keep me posted on how you're doing!

Thanks for the awesome post! Don't ever think that you are being to harsh because there is always going to be someone out there that needs their toes stomped on that day! You definitely stepped on mine but I needed it! You are a great inspiration so keep the knowledge and the stepping on toes coming our way.

2/2009, I made a commitment to myself..... IT'S MY YEAR TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT!
It's hard, but I can do this.....God will give US the Strength, Determination and Mind change to lose weight!

Beth- just think of the example you could be setting to your students and how much more you'll be on YOUR game by eating well and exercising. Let's do this together!

Dee- Way to buy some fruit, girl! I was the QUEEN of excuses! I used to tell myself it's in my genes (baloney)...I'm big boned (baloney)...I'm fine the way I am (baloney)...I didn't eat too much (baloney)...I'm active (baloney)....I'll do it next week ( you guessed it...baloney!). Kick those excuses to the curb...because they are nothing but that..the devil will supply us with every excuse in the book to keep us from being victorious! Don't let him win....surrender to the Lord!

vjb27- I'm glad the post struck a chord with you! I hope it was helpful. Sometimes I wonder if I'm being too harsh..then I think well...it's what helped me face reality and change.

You know what? You know what to say and when to say it. I really needed this today. I make up so many excuses until it's pitiful. I make excuses that I'm working to hard and can't focus, or I have to much going on at work that I didn't have time to eat breakfast or lunch, etc..... I so much want to lose about 25 pounds, but have difficulty making it happen. Today I did go and purchase a lot of fruit: strawberries, cantlopes, watermelon and grapes. I packed my lunch for tomorrow and hope to make a change. I also have my bottled water together. I pray in the name of Jesus that I stick with it.

Boy, I needed to read this post today! I've really let myself get down lately because I'm not taking care of myself like I should. Two more days of school (I teach) and then I'll have a little over two months to get back on track. Thanks for the encouraging words!
